Jamaica Mission Trip 2023
From June 3rd-10th sixteen people, including ten students, traveled to Jamaica for our High School Summer Mission Trip along with our Missions partner, IsleGo Missions! Our Jamaica Mission Team served God and the people in Jamaica in multiple ways.
We built a Little Blue House. The Little Blue House Project is IsleGo's system to build free housing for the homeless community in Jamaica. We were fortunate to build a house in just four days for Anthony, a gentleman who had recently lost his house in a storm earlier this year. All we needed to build the house was wood, sheet metal, nails, and a lot of prayer from our team and everyone praying for us back home in Florida!
We were able to support the local economy by grocery shopping and then delivering those groceries to those in need.
Moreover, we hosted Vacation Bible School. It brought us so much joy to see the smiles on the children's faces while playing soccer (ahem, football), letting them style the girl students' hair, drawing crafts, and riding on everyone's backs. Our whole team was in tears on the last day when we had to say goodbye to the kids.
