Serve Teams

Our OCC Kids team creates an environment where children ages infant – 5th grade are consistently exposed to the real love of Jesus.

This team intentionally invests in the lives of our children through worship, games, crafts and more on Sunday mornings and during our weekly Grade School Bible Study on Wednesday evenings.

Serve opportunities include:

• Check In

• Hall Monitors

• Teachers and Assistants for Nursery-5th Grade

• Special Events

• Weekday prep support

Our Student Ministries team is focused on providing our 6th-12th grade students with a comfortable environment to grow, sharpen their faith, and see the Gospel in their everyday lives.

We believe that it is crucial for our students to be connected with peers and adults who are pursuing Christ.

In addition to Sunday mornings, our High School Group (412@Nite) meets Sunday evenings, and our Middle School Group meets Tuesday evenings.

Serve opportunities include:

• Sunday morning teachers for middle and high school

• 412@Nite Small Group Leaders and Floaters

• 412@Nite band members

Our Worship Team aims to use their musical talent to prepare hearts and minds to receive God’s message through song.

In conjunction, our Tech Team helps to create an atmosphere where people can experience the presence of God through the operation of lighting, sound and video systems.

Serve opportunities include:

• Musicians

• Vocalists

• Slides Operator

• Lighting Tech

• Livestream Operator

The goal of the Guest Services team is to create a positive, personal experience for each and every person who enters our church.

This team loves people and makes them feel at home so that hearts are open to the Gospel message.

Serve opportunities include:

• Greeters

• Ushers

• Communion Servers

This team uses the gifts of organization and administration throughout the week to serve in areas like data entry, finance, weekend prep, and more for our various areas of ministry. Whether serving in the offices, or from home, we are always folks with administrative giftings.

Do you have a passion to brainstorm, plan, and carry out events? Our hospitality and events team helps create fun environments and experiences that make all feel welcome and special.

• Sunday Coffee Bar

• Picnics

• Trunk or Treat

• Holiday Photobooths

• And more!

Our Missions & Outreach Ministry wants to empower followers of Christ to engage with their daily opportunities for discipleship and service both locally and globally.

From our community outreach events like Sunday Serve Day and Trunk or Treat, to partnering with our local mission partners to serve on various projects right here in our community, to mission trips abroad…there are opportunities for everyone to live out the Great Commission.

Our Safety Team includes our Parking and Security teams. They work together to help maintain a safe and distraction-free environment for all guests in our parking lot and throughout the church building.

The purpose of the Prayer Team is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church.

There are opportunities to serve from home, or in person during our weekly and monthly gatherings as we pray specifically over requests from our congregation and community.

If you have a passion for, or interest in prayer, we would love for you to come and serve with us.

Our Faithful Hands team uses their talents to help keep our facilities looking the best they can and meet the needs of folks who could use some extra helping hands in their homes.

Some serve projects have included:

• Building a wheelchair ramp

• Landscaping and gardening

• Painting

• Hanging Pictures

• Various improvement projects

If you like working with your hands, and want to use your skills to serve the Kingdom, this is the team for you!

Providing meals is a practical and tangible way to care for and serve our OCC family during challenging times. It can also serve as a powerful witness to the love of Christ to a friend or family member in need.

Whether you are a great cook, or great at ordering take out, if you are interested in occasionally providing a meal to someone in need, sign up to join our Meal team.

Our Creative Team captures the essence of what God is doing here at OCC. If there is content you can read, watch, or listen to, this team most likely created it.

Our Set Up & Tear Down Teams do the hidden, but critical work of setting up and breaking down any supplies and equipment for Sunday services and special events.
