Eswatini Mission Trip 2023
What involves living on a coffee farm for a week, ministering to God's children and encouraging caretakers? An amazing Mission trip to Eswatini! In June, eight folks from OCC made our way to Eswatini to serve with our Mission Partner- Christ's Hope International.
We worked with the Care Point to teach children about The Armor of God through daily arts and crafts. Some kids even used the crafts as decorations in their homes! We prayed with the children’s families, which was incredibly impactful. We also helped cook, do minor repairs & projects around the Care Point, and some of our children's sponsors got to FaceTime with their child. It's SO cool that we have ongoing, personal relationships with these kiddos!
Two big goals we had for the trip were 1) Raise $1,200 for food bags to be delivered to each family and 2) Raise $2,500 (in addition to $5,000 previously raised) to complete a fence project for a new property in Eswatini that will serve approximately 200 more children. Those goals were accomplished! Thank you to all of you at OCC that helped make this happen! The fence was finished while we were there. We were able to pray over the new property and the ministry that will happen there.
