Eswatini Mission Trip 2024

In June 2024, a team of 8 OCC members took a mission trip to the Kingdom of Eswatini in Southern Africa. Once there, we partnered with our Missions Partners at Christ’s Hope International.

We worked with the Care Point teaching the story of David and Goliath through daily games, songs, and crafts. We also helped with cooking and some of our children’s sponsors got to FaceTime with their child. God has blessed our sponsors to have personal relationships with these children.

We also went on Home Visits to see the families of the sponsored children. While on the Home visits, we met a woman who was in much need of medical help. Thanks to our Church’s fundraising drive in May and June, the woman was able to visit the doctor (who was in another town) and receive medication. She is still not out of the woods, and we ask that you keep her in your prayers.

We had two goals for our trip 1) Raising funds for food bags to feed a family for a month and 2) Raising funds to complete much needed repairs for the Care Point and some staff members’ homes. Both these goals were accomplished by all of you at Oviedo City! We are so grateful for our Church Family.

We are also working on a second Care Center. It will serve 250 children. The location is about 30 minutes away from our first Care Point. We ask for prayer for this new Care Center.
